SUNA - President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir will direct on Thursday an important address to the Sudanese nation on the occasion of the International Day for Combating Drugs in which he is to assert financial and political support of the state for combating drugs for their devastating damages on community sectors, specially the youth. During his meeting with the National Committee for Combating Drugs, chaired by Dr. Al-Gezouli Dafaallah, at the Republican Palace Tuesday.
 
President Al-Bashir affirmed support to the committee to enable it to perform its national task. Dr. Dafaallah said in statement to SUNA that the committee presented to the President a proposal of establishing a center for treating addiction, pointing to the important role of the media in raising awareness on the hazards of drugs that destroy energies of youths who represent hope and future of the nation.
