Memo of Understanding Signed between the Sudanese and Egyptian Customs

The joint technical committee of the Sudanese and Egyptian Customs Administrations has signed a memo of understanding on the cooperation at the customs field between the two countries. At the meetings, Assistant Director of the Sudanese Customs Administration for Technical Affairs, Maj. Gen. Dr. Abdul-Hafiz Salih, has welcomed the Egyptian Customs delegation. He underscored the importance of the joint committee for boosting the trade activity and the exchange of information and experiences between the two countries. Head of the Egyptian delegation and Chairman of the Technical Customs Committee, Raouf Hussein Rushdi, affirmed the readiness of the Egyptian Customs for exchange of experiences with the Sudanese Customs and providing training for the Sudanese cadres. Meanwhile, the joint committee recommended among other issues holding specialized training programmes in the fields the customs tariff, procedure, exemption and revision at the National Training Institute in Alexandria.
