Dr. Al-Jaz and Samsung Company Discuss Contribution of Korean Companies to Development in Sudan

SUNA- The Minister of Finance, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, Tuesday received in his office a delegation of the Korean Samsung Company and discussed horizons of mutual cooperation and aspects of contribution of the Korean companies to the development process in Sudan. Addressing the Korean delegation, Dr. Al-Jaz shed light on the vital projects that are given priority in the agricultural, infrastructural, roads, electricity, railways, airports and textile fields. He referred to the strategic location of Sudan and its vast water, agricultural and animal resources, a matter which qualifies it to play a role in filling the food gap regionally and internationally.

Dr. Al-Jaz called on Samsung Company to establish effective partnerships with the Sudanese private sector in the field of development. Head of Samsung Company's delegation said that their visit comes in response to the recent visit of the President of the Republic to the Republic of Korea, indicating that their visit is aimed to identify the aspects and mechanisms for the contribution of Samsung to the development process in Sudan through partnerships with Hejlij and the Kuwaiti Aref Companies.

He indicated that the delegation would meet with the Ministers of Energy and Mining and Transport and officials at the unit for implementation of the Khartoum Airport. The meeting between Dr. Al-Jaz and Samsung Company's delegation was attended by the General Director of Hejlij Company, Al-Obeid Fadlal-Moula, and the Director of Projects at the company, Al-Safi Ahmed Adam.
