Sudatel Group for Telecommunication Ltd held an extra ordinary meeting on 22/05/2005 in Friendship Hall, Khartoum. The General Assembly unanimously approved the decisions of the extra ordinary meeting that took place on 23/04/2008 and that recommended the change of the company’s name to be Sudatel Group for Telecommunication Ltd and authorized increasing the company’s capital to be $2.5 billion instead of the current $ 750 million.
After the meeting, Sudatel Group for Telecommunication Ltd held its 15th general meeting that approved the fiscal report for the year 2007. Sudatel Group for Telecommunication Ltd profits in 2007 reached $ 519.829.752, the share gain is % 40. The profits will be distributed % 20 in cash and %20 in shares. However, economic experts hailed the profits gained by the group describing it as historic and unrecorded in the region
While addressing the meeting, Sudatel Group for Telecommunication Ltd Board of Directors Chairman Eng. Abd Al Aziz Osman Abd Al Aziz hailed the great expansion achieved by the Group and the services provided using up to date technologies.
On his part, Sudatel Group for Telecommunication Ltd Executive Manager Eng. Amad Aldeen Hussein reviewed the Groups report for 2007. The report highlighted the great achievements of the Group that reflected positively on the profits gained in the year 2007. Eng. Amad Aldeen said that the subscribers of Sudani reached 4 million in a quite short period. "The company has expanded its investments outside Sudan, the matter that would increase the profits that would be gained in 2008"
On his part, Sudatel Group for Telecommunication Ltd Financial Manager Mr. Amad Aldeen Wadha said the Groups finical performance has hit high records in 2007.
