Saudi Ministers of Trade and Agriculture Arrive in Khartoum

SUNA - The Saudi Ministers of Trade and Industry and Agriculture, Abdalla bin Ahmed, and Fahad bin Abdalla Balghunaim, respectively Friday afternoon arrived in Khartoum on a two-day official visit. In a press statement to SUNA, the Saudi Minister of Trade said that their visit to Sudan comes in the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries and in response to a directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

He said that they will discuss with the Sudanese officials ways to encourage the Saudi private sector's investments in Sudan. The Saudi Minister of Agriculture affirmed the serious desire of the Saudi private sector to invest in Sudan.

He referred to existing Saudi investments in Sudan, indicating that Sudan obtains a good land for agricultural investment. The two Saudi ministers were received at Khartoum Airport by the Minister of Agriculture, Prof. Al-Zubair Bashir Taha. Prof. Taha affirmed in a press statement Sudan keenness to provide all facilities for the Arab investments in the country, especially from Saudi Arabia, in the agricultural field. The talks between Sudan and Saudi Arabia in the agricultural domain will begin Saturday at the Friendship Hall, while the trade talks will begin on Sunday.
