Parties of National Unity Government Welcome Agreement between the Two Partners on the Three Acts

The Council of the Parties of the National Unity Government has welcomed the agreement reached between the two partners, the National Congress and Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM), on the Act of Referendum in the South, the Act on Abyei Referendum and the Act on Consultation in South Kordofan and the Blue Nile. In a statement after the meeting of the council Monday, Deputy Chairman of the National Congress for the Party's Affairs, Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie, said that the national unity government parties have affirmed their support to the agreement between the two partners, which will bolster the stability and peace in the country. He said that the coming stage will witness intensive political activity among the national unity government parties to participate in the coming elections with a united and clear-cut vision. The Secretary General of the Council of the Parties of the National Unity Government, Dr. Mudawi Al-Turabi, said that the council heard a political briefing by Dr. Nafie and a legal one by the Minister of Justice, Abdul-Basit Sabdarat, on the agreement which was reached by the two partners. He said that the meeting also reviewed horizons of joint work concerning the elections.
