Khartoum, Aug. 2(SUNA) -The Sudanese Centre for Development of Institutions and Investment has been launched at Al-Fateh Tower in Khartoum.

The centre, an affiliate of the Ministry of Investment, was established in the context of cooperation between the ministry, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Islamic Development Bank.

Minister of Investment, George Boreing reaffirmed on Sunday the need for training and capacity building, referring to the importance of using scientific methods to make use of Sudan's resources in this regard.

The opening ceremony was also addressed by the chairman of the Council of Trustees of the Islamic Financial Institutions, who explained that the centre was one of 15 centres established by the UNIDO in the developing countries.
