President Al-Bashir to inaugurate SAFAT Aviation Complex in Karari area

SUNA - President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir is due to inaugurate on 5^th July SAFAT Aviation Complex in Karari locality in Khartoum State, in presence of holders of the constitutional and executive posts as well as the foreign aviation companies and foreign diplomats accredited to Sudan. This was announced by the Executive Manager of the complex, Engineer Khalid Ahmed Abdullah, saying that President Al-Bashir will address a huge mass rally from the site of the complex on the occasion. "The objective of the Complex is to produce and to develop the technology of the Aviation Industry in Sudan, as well as cutting the high cost of maintenance of Sudanese planes abroad, said Engineer Abdullah. He explained that Sudan is a pioneering country in domains of Aviation in the Arab and African regions. He revealed that the Complex will produce SAFAT-01 Plane, 85% of which is from the local Sudanese materials and the 15% for the Engine. He added that three other assembled planes of the SAFAT-03 will be participating in the launching ceremony. Eng. Abdullah explained that the Engineering and Technical staffs of Safat manufacturing complex are all qualified Sudanese citizens who have obtained the necessary licenses from the Civil Aviation Authority after due training and tests.
