(SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir received Tuesday, the reply statement to his address at the opening session of the National Assembly on the general performance of the state, in the presence of the Cabinet Affairs Minister and six advisors. The President lauded at the meeting, the experiment of the parliamentarian work, describing it as leading one and completed its task successfully in accordance with the articles of the Constitution in the fields of legislations and observation. President Al-Bashir also hailed the integration between the legislative and executive authorities in boosting the parliamentarian experiment and realizing political stability in the country. He referred to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), which has ended the civil war in the south, the reconstruction and building of the government institutions as well as the signing of Abuja and East Sudan agreements. President Al-Bashir affirmed the stability of the security situation in Darfur excluding some pockets, return of life there to normality, the voluntary repatriation of the displaced and bridging the gap with regard to the humanitarian aid following the expulsion of some foreign organizations. He reiterated the continuity of the government efforts to realize peace in Darfur, imposition of the rule of law, provision of services and development projects and the political initiatives to maintain peace in Darfur Meanwhile, The Speaker of the National Assembly, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir said that the address has assured the achievements scored by the executive body in all fields such as the building of dams and bridges, roads, electricity and industrial projects.
