US President Envoy begins his second visit to Sudan on Wednesday

SUNA- The US Presidential Special Envoy to the Sudan Scott Gration will arrive to the country , Wednesday, on a four day visit to the Sudan during which he would brief officials in the country about the outcome of his recent visit to the Sudan and his discussion in N'djamena and Doha.

The visit of the US Envoy to each of Qatar and N'djamena comes, according to informed sources that spoke to SUNA, within the efforts exerted by the United States of America in coordination with the joint UN-AU chief mediator to achieve stability in Darfur and to give an impetus to the peace negotiations with the non signatory movements of the Abuja peace agreement.

The Sudan News Agency (SUNA) has also learned that the American Presidential Envoy will meet with each of the First Vice President of the Republic General Salva Kiir Mayardit and with Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, with Senior Assistant of the President of the Republic, Mini Arko Minawi, the Assistant of the President of the Republic Dr Nafie Ali Nafie and with the President Advisor Dr Ghazi Salah Eddin and with Minister for Foreign Affairs Deng Alor as well as a number of political party leaderships in Sudan.

In a statement to the Sudan News Agency the Director of the Americas Department at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Nassr Eddin Wali, said the second visit of the American Presidential Envoy represent a real start for interaction between the two sides as the first visit had centrated on getting acquainted with the reality of the situation on the ground and launching of the start of dialogue between the two sides and a process of cooperation that seek to build confidence and to lay the first bricks for the development of bilateral relation, based on mutual respect and joint cooperation.
