Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs Adopts Package of Procedure to Maintain Stability of Humanitarian Situation in Darfur States

SUNA - The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs has adopted a package of procedure to maintain the stability of the humanitarian situation in Darfur states and to guarantee provision of more services for the displaced citizens at camps, especially in the fields of water, health, food and health. Meanwhile, some 40 technical agreements on provision of basic services to IDPs in their camps were signed in Nyala between a number of foreign organizations and the concerned government institutions in the state.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Haroun Luwal, who held prolonged meetings in Nyala and Al- Fasher with the emergency committees assigned to follow up the humanitarian work in south and north Darfur, directed the committees to speed up the implementation of the ambitious plans in this regard.

He reaffirmed the government commitment to provide the required support in Darfur states so as to enable them to extend better services for the needy people in camps The State Minister at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Ahmed Haroun, who was accompanying the Minister, lauded the major accomplishments in the field of water and vaccination against meningitis.
