The President of the Republic returns home after taking part in the Higher Sudanese Ethiopian Committee

SUNA- The President of the Republic Field Marshal Omar Al Bashir and the accompanying delegation returned home Wednesday after a three day visit to Ethiopia where he led the government side to the Higher Committee between the Sudan and Ethiopia in its second sesssion.

The Minister for International Cooperation Dr Tiganni Fidail Salih Fidail has pointed out in a press statement that the visit comes within the context of dicharging his duties as head of state and chairmn of the joint Higher Committee with Ethiopia to reivew the concern and issues related to the future of the relationship between the two countries and the region in general in the framwork of the peace and security in the region, stability and development in the region.
 
He said the visit has achieved alot in the common action and the political coordination betweenthe two countries and the work to achieve the aspirations of the two peoples in face of the challenges and hurdles.

The minister said the two countries have agreed to double the efforts for achieving common development and to create strategic partnership as this woudl be one of th eimportant mehcanism for the stabilyt in the regina and for createing statateigic parnership between the two counries.

He added tha tthe committee has come up with a new means for work and for follow up and for the formation of mechanis fot speed up the implementation and carrying out the assignments set He said the visit was a chance for the ethiopian side to renew its supportive stand beside the sudan in face of foreign plots that seek to undermine the proces of peace and development adding this comes in line with the position of the African Union and other regional and international organizations.
