SUNA- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has called on the African leaders to cooperate and unite to abort the plots being managed by the colonialists forces against the countries in Africa and the Third World.
In his address at the opening sitting of the Turkish - African Summit in Istanbul, Turkey Tuesday, with participation of representatives of 50 countries, President Al-Bashir lauded the strong solidarity stances shown in support of Sudan after the crisis which was ignited by the International Criminal Court (ICC), referring to the decisions of the African Union in Sharm Al-Sheikh, Egypt, in last July on the abuse of some foreign countries to judicial mandate for the sake of reaching political objectives against African leaders, a matter that poses a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of these countries and unity of their territories, besides the negative impact of this conduct on the political, economic and social development and the capability of these countries in the administration of their international relations.
President Al-Bashir has attacked the International Criminal Court (ICC), describing it as a tool of the imperialist forces to terrorize countries and nations and to compel them to succumb to the will of these imperialist forces which aim to return once again for imposing their domination on Africa and to loot its wealth.
He said that the African - Turkish cooperation in the economic and social fields represents the basis for success of this partnership, and called for paving the way for the flow of funding and trade, focusing on the important projects toward development of the local resources, providing employment opportunities for African labour and diversifying the African exports. President Al-Bashir shed light on the Agricultural Development Campaign taking place in Sudan, and welcomed the Turkish investments at the agricultural field toward boosting food security for Africa and its partners.
He pointed out that the African - Turkish cooperation necessitates provision of a stable international political framework so as to cope and integrate with the climates around it on ground that the international cooperation is an integrated process the goals of which can not be achieved without meeting the requirements of this cooperation.
He explained that the requirements of the international cooperation process include that it should take place within an international context based on the respect of the sovereignty, security, stability and dignity of nations. President Al-Bashir expressed his regret over the intention of some imperialist forces to impede the process of international cooperation and solidarity for realizing development by their targeting to the sovereignty and dignity of nations and abuse of the international judicial mandate.
