Addressing a mass rally in Nyala city, the capital of South Darfur State, President Al-Bashir said that the memo of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) which targeted Sudan through its President will increase adherence of the Sudanese people to the peace process, implementation of the development and rehabilitation programmes and utilization of the nation's resources.

He called on the people of Darfur to return their region back to its glorious era which was characterized by the domination of security and stability.

President Al-Bashir referred to the accomplishment of the National Salvation Revolution in Darfur, especially in the education, health and water fields, stressing that the government will link Darfur with the National Electricity Network and complete establishment of the Western Salvation Highway and other basic infrastructures in Darfur.

The Wali (governor) of South Darfur State, Ali Mahmoud, also addressed the mass rally affirming his government's keenness to go ahead implementing programmes for supporting peace, stability and the return of the displaced people to their home villages.
