President Al-Bashir: Sudan Foreign Policy is based on Positive Interaction, Respect of Good Neighbourliness and Realization of Common Interest

President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has affirmed that Sudan foreign policy is based on the principles of positive interaction, good neighbourliness, non-intervention in the affairs of the others and guaranteeing the common interests and values.

In his address to the Sudanese nation Sunday evening from Al-Hilal Stadium in Omdurman on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the National Salvation Revolution, President Al-Bashir pointed out that Sudan commitment to these principles enabled it to establish distinguished relations with many countries of the world and the regional and international organizations, calling on some neighbouring countries to give regard to these principles toward consolidating the bilateral relations and safeguarding the sovereignty.

He affirmed that the second phase of the National Salvation Revolution will witness the commitment to the principles of the modern state that is based on science, faith, respect of human rights, elevating the values of justice, the rule of law, guaranteeing freedoms, peaceful transference of power, reliance on accord and reconciliation for the unity of the national rank, the commitment to holding free and fair and observed elections in the fixed time and reaching a peaceful solution for Darfur issue.

President Al-Bashir instructed all the concerned authorities to maintain the state's dignity, preventing any security violation, secure the routes of delivery of relief to the displaced and affected citizens and boosting the humanitarian situation in Darfur, commitment to the implementation of Darfur peace agreement, and to work for completing the Western Salvation Highway and expansion of the scope of health and medical services.

Meanwhile, President Al-Bashir referred to the ongoing efforts to conduct an extensive dialogue with all the political parties and the civil society organizations in Darfur toward reaching a lasting and comprehensive solution of Darfur issue.

He stressed the government serious commitment to the implementation of all the peace agreements which were signed in Naivasha, Cairo, Abuja, and Asmara. President Al-Bashir also affirmed the government full commitment to the implementation of the national reconciliation and accord agreement, reflecting hope to meet together with all the political forces in the comprehensive conference being called for by the Committee for Unification of the National Ranks toward achieving accord and agreement between all the Sudanese people.

He lauded the efforts and role of all the parties which are participating in the national unity government and the national and state legislative organs in the country.
