Taha Meets with Qatari Businessmen and Investors in Doha

SUNA- Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, assured the Qatari investors that Sudan is enjoying political stability a matter which guarantees a convenient atmosphere for investment in the country at all domains. This came during his meeting Tuesday evening at Carlton Hotel in Doha with Qatari businessmen and investors as part of his current visit to the State of Qatar. Taha said at the meeting that his visit to Qatar is focused on conducting dialogue on the ways to boost the cooperation between Sudan and Qatar in the economic and investment fields.

Taha pointed out that the Investment Act has opened wide the door for investment in Sudan at the fields of agriculture, animal production, gas and transport. He said that the state is keen to establish genuine trade and economic and trade partnerships with Qatari companies and businessmen for the interest of the two nations. He referred to the establishment of a central investment mechanism supervised by the President of the Republic toward supporting the investments at the strategic fields in Sudan. Taha welcomed the establishment of a joint council of the Sudanese and Qatari businessmen and a holding company between the two countries. MO/MO
