Joint United Nations and African Union mission in Darfur condemns aggression on Omdurman

SUNA - Chairman of the joint United Nations and African Union mission in Darfur Rodolphe Adada has condemned the sabotage attempt led by Khalil Ibrahim against Omdurman town. Mr. Adada, who met Assistant of the President of the Republic Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie at the Republican Palace Wednesday, expressed hope that the armed movements would renounce violence and resort to peaceful negotiations for solving Darfur issue.

On his part, Dr. Nafie lauded condemnation of the joint mission to the sabotage act committed by the Justice and Equality Movement, hoping that the international community would continue to exert pressure on those who rejected peace and support Sudan's efforts for solving Darfur issue.
