SUNA - Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Atim Garang has discussed with Algerian Minister for Parliamentary Relations, Mohamoud Harzi progress of Sudanese-Algerian relations and means of boosting them further in all domains. The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly affirmed the depth of the bilateral ties linking the two countries and the importance of boosting them further especially at the parliamentary level, praising Algerian stances supporting Sudan in the international forums.

The Algerian minister, on his part, asserted his country's keenness on boosting its ties with Sudan and its support to Sudan's territorial integrity and national sovereignty. Addressing the sitting of the National Assembly, Hazri said that the Algerian government and people follow up with concern the situations in Sudan particularly with respect to Darfur issue, emphasizing his country's support to the efforts being exerted by the Government of National Unity and the National Assembly to consolidate peace and stability in Sudan.
